Chefs in Training - Oreo Truffles

This week the children made Oreo truffles. They worked hard banging the cookies until they were small little pieces. Some didn't realize how much strength they had to put into it. They did a great job mixing in the cream cheese, everyone trying to hold the bowl. The hardest part was using our fine motor skills to rolls the mixture into balls. Some of them turned into logs or mush instead. After, we coated them in liquid dark chocolate and sprinkled them with leftover cookie crumbles. The children had to wait until the next day to take them home to eat. They were not so willingly patient.
