Chefs in Training - No bake Apple Crumble

1. 10. 2020

This week, the Cooking club made something with the in season fuit - apples! We made a no-bake apple crumble! The teacher prepared the thinly sliced apples and then the children carefully added them to our pan on the hotplate and mixed it with maple syrup and cinnamon. We let the cook while we prepared the crust, stiring it occasionally. The crust was made up of almond and coconut flour, a dash of salt, and then mixed with more maple syrup, olive oil, and a dash of vanilla. Once we started mixing, it became more and more crumbly. So we patted most of it into our pan, layered the apples on top, and sprinkled the last bits of the mixture on top like a crumble. We left it in the fridge overnight to eat for snack the next day. Yum!
