Chefs in Training - Mini Cheesecake bites
This week, the Cooking club made a very yummy dessert, no-bake cheese cake bites. We smashed whole-wheat biscuits till they were crumbs and combined it with melted coconut oil. Then we created the creamy middle, combining cream cheese, Greek yogurt, a hint of vanilla, and honey. The children had a hard time mixing it all together because of the clumpy cream cheese, so the teachers had to help. Once finished, the children had to prepare the strawberry topping in which they washed and cut off the top stems. Once everything was prepped, we assembled them together. Starting with the crumbs, we patted them into the bottom of the cupcake molds. Then we slathered on a bunch of the cream cheese mixture, and finished with strawberry decor. Finally, we put them in the freezer for a half hour, before removing them to devour! YUMMMM!!
