Chefs in Training - Cucumber Roll-ups
This week, the cooking club had to use lots of patience when dealing with the cucumber rolls. We started by washing the cucumber and peeling it width-wise to make long, wide pieces. We then combined fresh cheeses to make a nice spread. After we used the left-over cucumbers and cut those, along with red bell peppers, into small long pieces. With everything prepared, we began to assemble. We started with a long piece of cucumber, which we then spread on the cheese, placed a couple pieces of pepper and cucumber, seasoned with herbs, and rolled up and fixed in place with a toothpick. Yum!
