Chefs in Training - Banana Pops

Cooking Club is back! after a long hiatus because of school closings and health concerns over the virus. Our first snack we made after such a long time was quite easy but very fun. We took bananas, cut them in two pieces, and stuck popsicle sticks inside the flat bottoms, carefully so not to break the bananas. After, we used two different types of yogurt, vanilla and baked apple, to cover the bananas. We laid the bananas on a pan covered with wax paper and proceeded to decorate the bananas with muesli, coconut flakes, seeds, and nuts. After the children took turns decorating their bananas, we put the pans into the freezer and waited about 2-3 hours before taking them out and enjoying our frozen snack. Yum! Enjoy these at home or at school on a hot, sunny day.
