Chefs in Training - Banana Pancakes

18. 11. 2019

This week we used the hot plate for our banana pancake recipe. This recipe is so easy and you don't need many materials. Because we had many children, we doubled the recipe. We mashed two bananas until they were liquid-y and then added two eggs. For some children, it was their first time cracking eggs so we had a talk about cleaning our hands well after touching them. After mixing the bananas and eggs together, we added a teaspoon of cinnamon for taste and mixed well. We had a safety talk about how to use the pan and hotplate, and where our hands go when using it. Once we were confident that the children could handle themselves, we poured a tablespoon of the banana pancake mixture onto a well-greased pan and proceeded to cook it for 3 min on each side. Once we cooked them, we got to choose from Bio maple syrup or creme fraiche as toppings. They were so yummy that everyone wanted more than two.
